To secure a seat in a medical or dental college in India, students must crack the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) – a rigorous exam organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Aspiring candidates must adhere to a set of guidelines and regulations established by the NTA, including a specific dress code for NEET 2023. The latest update states that the NTA has issued the NEET admit card 2023 for all registered candidates.
In order to maintain the sanctity of the NEET-UG 2023 examination, candidates are prohibited from bringing certain items inside the examination center.
Barred Items in NEET-UG 2023
Candidates are strictly forbidden from carrying textual materials, such as printed or written notes, bits of paper, geometry/pencil boxes, plastic pouches, pens, scales, writing pads, pen drives, erasers, calculators, log tables, electronic pens/scanners, and other similar items.
Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, and health bands, among others, are strictly prohibited during the NEET-UG 2023 exam. Additionally, candidates cannot bring any metallic items or ornaments, including watches, bracelets, or belts, or any item that could potentially be used for cheating purposes. Food items, water bottles, wallets, handbags, caps, goggles, cameras, and any other similar item are also not permitted inside the exam center
Dress Code forNEET-UG 2023
Candidates who wear articles or objects of faith (customary/cultural/religious) should report at the examination center at least two hours before the last reporting time to allow for proper frisking without causing any inconvenience to the candidate.
In case a candidate is found to be carrying a suspected device within an item of faith upon screening, he/she may be asked not to take it into the examination hall.
In terms of dress code, candidates are not permitted to wear light clothes with long sleeves. However, if candidates choose to wear cultural/customary dress, they must report at least an hour before the last reporting time (i.e., 12:30 pm) to allow for proper frisking without causing any inconvenience to the candidate.

Documents to Bring to the NEET-UG Exam Centre
When appearing for the NEET-UG 2023 exam, candidates must bring a printed copy of their admission card with their passport-size photo affixed to it, a passport-size photo for pasting on the attendance sheet, and a color photograph in postcard size with a white backdrop to be pasted on the proforma downloaded with the admission card.
Candidates must also bring one of the officially recognized photo identification documents, such as a PAN card, driver’s license, voter identification card, passport, Aadhaar card, ration card, class 12 admissions card, or other government-issued photo identification document.
If a candidate is claiming relaxation under the PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) category, they must also bring a PwBD certificate issued by the competent authority.
