In this article, we focus on the NEET cut-off 2022 for JIPMER. Many of the students from the Northeast didn’t consider JIPMER as their preferred Medical college for MBBS courses.
If you look at the Cut off marks in 2022 carefully in the above table, you will understand the difference between enrolling in a state medical college and JIPMER.
As we already mentioned in the beginning of the article that JIPMER is the premier institute for MBBS you must consider.
Candidates who are aspiring to take admitted in the undergraduate medical courses in JIPMER (both campuses) in the academic year 2022-23 have to appear for the NEET 2022 entrance examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Of the combined JIPMER seats, 70% are allotted through the All India Quota and 30% through State Quota.
JIPMER Merit List 2022
The JIPMER merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored by a candidate in the entrance examination. Once the merit list is out, you can check it on the official website of JIPMER.
The list will be available in PDF format. Based on the JIPMER merit list, candidates will be shortlisted and will be called for counselling.
The rank letter will also get released by the institute authority later via online mode. As a candidate, you just have to enter your login details to download the rank letter.
JIPMER Counselling 2022
The JIPMER counselling process is quite lengthy. Hence it is divided into various rounds to fill in the vacant seats. Even after three to four rounds if the seats remain vacant, in that case, the institute authorities would organise for an open counselling round.
Most probably, the JIPMER 2022 counselling process will be conducted through offline mode.
Hence the candidates will have to go through a few steps - biometric fingerprint and document verification. Besides, it is mandatory to carry along all the original documents and photocopies as well for verification purposes.
Seats will be allotted as you provided the choice in the application form. But it also depends on the rank, category, and availability of the number of seats.
Upon the allotment of seats, candidates will have to report to the respective JIPMER campus (i.e. Puducherry and Karaikanal) to confirm their admission.
Conclusions
As a candidate, you must know the JIPMER cut-off. Based on this, you will be granted admission to the MBBS/ BDS programme. Also, you must remember another important fact - everyone who appeared in the medical entrance test and cleared it, will not be allowed to participate in the counselling procedure unless there is an open round of counselling.
